Lyssa Malfoy walked onto Platform 9 and 3/4 alone, her family nowhere in sight. All she had with her was her school trunk. She pulled it along the platform to the train. Then she boarded the train and walked along the aisle to find an empty place to sit. She supposed that Cassie would show up eventually and sit with her, but until then Lyssa was going to relish in the quiet and the peace. That had been lacking over the summer, because being stuck at a house where Voldemort was staying was no picnic.

She sighed lightly, resting her head on the compartment's window pane. Things out in the wizarding world, and even the Muggle world, were getting quick terrifying. As she'd walked on the platform, Lyssa had noticed that fewer students than ever before were around. She supposed it was related to the fact that Muggleborns were no longer allowed at the school; at least for now anyway. She also had the theory that many parents had kept their children home, just so they would all be close together.

Cassie sighed running through the wall and into the platform. She said bye to her mother, assuring her that she would be fine. Cassie sometimes thought that her mother worried too much. She had nearly pulled her out, but Cassie stuck her foot down. She was going to finish her education at Hogwarts. Pulling her trunk onto the train Cassie went in search for Lyssa as the girl always got onto the train before her.

The Muggle world was about in the same mess as the wizarding one, though the muggles had no idea why people kept being found dead, having died for no apparent reason. Or why buildings randomly blew up. Cassie frowned, as she entered the compartment Lyssa was in. "Hey," She said putting her trunk on the rack, shutting the door and then sitting down oposite the girl.

"Hullo," Lyssa said, giving a slight yawn since she'd never been that good with early-ish hours and waking up at them. She was more of a sleep-in person than an early bird. "How was your summer?" she then asked.

"Alright," Cassie said with a slight shrug and a yawn. While she prefered getting up to sleeping in all day she was still tired for a few hours until she fully woke up. "I did start learning how to drive actually. And havn't smashed into anything yet. Except the poll at the end of the street but that doesn't count cause Lizzie was distracting me."

Lyssa made a face at the mention of cars and driving. "Good for you..." she muttered although she couldn't quite mean it. "Although, I don't see the merit behind know. It takes forever, and it's dangerous."

Cassie shrugged. "I need to know how to get about in the muggle world." She said. "And so learning to drive would be kind of useful." She shrugged again, as the train started to pull out of the station. "Cause I'm not going to apperate everywhere, as I hate apperating and that would be weird, specially if I don't know. I have a family and their not magical? Or they get freinds or something. And that was completly random so forget I said anything."

Lyssa just sort of blinked at Cassie, having nothing to say to that. "Interesting..." she finally muttered, looking out the train's window. The landscape was flying by now as the train picked up speed. And soon they would be starting their last year at Hogwarts.

The girls talked a bit as the train roared through the country side, somewhere near Hogwarts they got into their robes. Cassie was kind of exited about their last year at Hogwarts. Though at the same time slightly worried. "I can not believe Snape is headmaster, that's bezar."

"It's only logical," Lyssa said back, "with what's happening out in the world right now and all that." She shrugged, not really in the mood to listen to Cassie complaining about this and that. The year hadn't even officially started yet.

Cassie blinked at Lyssa, somewhat surprised that she wasn't complaining about Snape being headmaster. He would have to make the world's worst headmaster. "It's still stupid," She said with a shrug. "Even if Voldemort's taken over the world. I don't think we have any chance for the cup this year."

Lyssa shrugged. "Doesn't matter. It's just a title. Winning the house cup will get you zero credit in the real world, Cass," she said as the train slowed to a stop having reached the platform in Hogsmeade.

Cassie frowned slightly. "I don't care if it'll do anything in the real world or not. It's my last year here and while I still can take enjoyment in winning these things I will." Cassie sighed looking at Lyssa. Thinking she was acting a little strangly.

Lyssa shrugged. "I just don't see the purpose in them. They just pit us all against each other in the end, which is just ridiculous." She shrugged again, signaling that it didn't really matter at all anyway. The two exited the train and made their way to the carriages.

"You alright Lyssa?" Cassie asked her as they entered one of the horseless carragies. "You're acting a little oddly." The carriage pulled out of where it was sitting and headed up towards the school, Cassie was glad that they didn't need to walk up, As they wouldn't have been fun.

Lyssa nodded at Cassie. "Yeah, I fine," she replied, looking at the other girl questioningly. She didn't noticed anything she was doing now that she hadn't done before. Perhaps it was because it had started in the summer, in which Lyssa spent a lot time thinking and considering some things.
